Love is Here

we ache as one
each heart hurting
ruptured
by what we have seen

and yet

love is here
We ache as one. Yet we are not broken. Love is here. in stories of heroes
who ran towards danger
who carried the hurt
who pinched the flow of life
from escaping

love is here
in dedications
and comfort dogs
and lemonade stands
and in the media
carrying their stories
beside those of chaos
and destruction

love is here
in messages of caring
from a whole world
who aches as one

a steady flow of
prayers and
drums and
chants and
butterflies

we are not broken
our humanity is strong
alive
connected
and filled with love

share love
say love
pray love
send love

we hold each other
we help each other
we heal each other

love is here

Teresa, this is beautiful! You are right, love is here, but so often we don’t stop to take a step back and recognize it. Sadly, it is tragedies that often bring us together as brothers and sisters. Let us pray, that very soon, we will share our love with one another this freely without the tragedy. Much love to you!

Mmmm…I needed to hear that today. And again I hear the message that Metatron shared not so long ago… “You are not broken. You do not need to be fixed. Turn toward love and allow all else to dissolve. YAY! Thanks for the confirmation that I’m on the right path and love really is the answer.

What a lovely poem!! Thanks for your awesomeness.

You can feel the love in Boston. Even when we were on lock-down people were reaching out to each other, gathering and comforting each other. The cheering on of law enforcement and the first-responders. The memorials and flowers downtown. It’s amazing and needed.

I’m so in awe of people who can write poems. Thank you for the beautiful words that captured such an awful event; but you show all the amazing sides of humanity that were brought to light. With butterflies too!

Yes, love is here! There’s so much truth and beauty to that statement, even amid what happened in my hometown and what happens all around the world. It might be corny and over said on FB, but I love what Mister Rogers said, that you’ll always see the helpers. Even though something terrible had occurred, I just loved seeing so many people jumping in fearlessly to help. Amazing!
