Revealed: Six of Thankfulness

Today I am honoured to be part of the Lammas Blog Hop, “Pentacles : The Fruits of Harvest”. This is the festival of wheat harvest, rich with symbolism of the fruits of our labours. Kareen has wrangled posts from 37 of us from around the world, revealing the card of the pentacles we each feel most strongly connected with.

In my Gratitude Tarot, Thankfulness is similar to Pentacles, and it was the six who asked to be revealed today.

If you have come from the post before me, you have already read the post by Carla Tate of Rowan Tarot (if you have not, please click through to read hers). After you have read (and commented on, if you feel so inclined) mine, please read Elinor Predota’s post on A New Adventure Every Day next. For more information and the complete list of blog posts on the hop, please visit Inner Whispers.

The poem is absolutely wonderful! I hope your first harvest makes you very thankful indeed. 🙂

Thank you, John! This harvest is swimming in the lush river of Gratitude!

      Hugs and butterflies,

Heads up. There is a share box that is scrolling on the left and blocking a good portion of your post. I couldn’t read it all. 🙁 Not sure what is causing that. I’m using Firefox. I’ll come back in with IE and comment if it’s not there.

  3. Arwen August 1, 2012 at 9:35 am #

It’s Firefox. The same box is small and neat in IE.

Thanks for letting me know, Arwen! I’m checking with the plugin creator to see if there is a solution…and I changed a setting that may have helped. If you get a chance it would be great if you could let me know if it made any difference.

      Hugs and butterflies,
      ~Teresa~

I will when I get home to that computer. Sending myself a note now. 😀

        • Arwen August 2, 2012 at 6:31 am #

And it is working beautifully now. 😀 And now I can visually as well as verbally enjoy your poem. I love that it is a swoop and a dance visually. Nicely done! 😀

Lovely poem – and that’s a VERY attractive card!

Re what Arwen was saying, I;ve got the share box scrolling down the side, but it’s not overlapping the poem. Maybe something to do with screen resolutions?

Simply beautiful, Teresa! And just the words I needed to read this morning. Grateful indeed.

Andrea! So glad that this is in tune for you! Such richness you bring to the world with all of your gifts!

This is lovely Teresa! I’m not usually one for poetry, but this totally speaks to me right now – there’s a lot going on around my being vulenrable and shining my light! Keep them coming, they are beautiful!

    • Teresa August 1, 2012 at 11:27 am #

Sometimes our messages come from places we don’t quite expect. I love what you’re doing in sharing your gifts – keep them coming, too!

      Hugs and butterflies,
      ~Teresa~

    Beautiful!

Re what Arwen and Alison Cross wrote, I use Firefox too, but have no problem reading your poem…

    • Teresa August 1, 2012 at 11:28 am #

Thank you, Alison! I did make a small change to the setup, so that may have alleviated the problem Arwen and Alison C were having. So glad the site is working for you!

      Hugs and butterflies,
      ~Teresa~

    Beautiful poem! Beautiful card.

This is my favorite part and resonates deeply with the work I do-
as you let go, let yourself shine-more is revealed
as you send more into the world- more is received

It reminds me of the importance of owning and acknowledging the gifts that we each have and willing sharing them with the world- that is what we are here for and by offering them you open up the way to receive the abundance of others gifts back into your world.

    Lovely!!

Blessed Llammas! I love “as you let go, let yourself shine!” so easy and yet so difficult for many of us (me included!) Excellent reminder today!

Teresa What makes me so delighted is all the little links, so it’s like opening a beautiful gift basket and you never know where the links will take you.

And again, so beautiful and inspiring. My favorite was the interpretation: “Your gifts belong in the world. Knowledge and resources flow freely when rooted in gracious acceptance.” I left the world of school teacher to honor my gift of healing but there are days when I wonder if I took the right path. Thanks for reminding me that I am here to serve a higher order and no path is wrong.

  14. Jessica August 2, 2012 at 5:28 pm #

Teresa, I needed to hear today that my gifts belong here ….. thank you.

Love the theme of your site to begin, and poetry as well. Excellent imagery and rhythm of line. Gratitude is always at least part of the answer to anything….;)

Happy Lammas, and may the fruits of your labor be sweet!

PS the Share list on the left does behave itself in Safari as well, although it tried to enlarge itself when the page reloaded after I commented, and then corrected to normal. Different browsers cause all sorts of grief for the poor plugin developers…

I love the card and the poem! I’m currently designing my own Tarot deck with photos I’ve taken, so your post has been very inspirational for me. Thank you 😉

Teresa.. your cards and poetic interpretations always move me on such a visceral level… Love the honeybee.. we keep bees and they are such amazing civilized creatures. Love also the tiny interpretation you place underneath that synthesizes the meaning.. all beautiful, thank you.

    Love and blessings,
    Lisa

    Oh Teresa!

All I want to say is

    YUM

What could be more perfect for “gratitude” than the Six? Wonderful!

  21. Kerry August 4, 2012 at 1:13 pm #

I love the imagery of the bee on the sunflower – each gives and each receives, in a beautiful circle of reciprocity. There is much here to give thanks for, and I am grateful to read your inspiring words 🙂

Thank you. I offer gratitude for the sharing of your wonderful, insightful and uplifting words. Brightest Blessings – FS xx

What a wonderful sentiment for Lammas! The poem + card are both gorgeous – I love the line “as you let go, let yourself shine, more is revealed”.
