I just had a birthday!
Cue the happy synth music marking my advancement up one more level
Actually, it was the longest birthday ever, since I started the day in a time zone 4 hours ahead of my own – and then traveled home.
As happens each year, I received a landslide of birthday greetings from all of my Facebook friends and so many others.
Thank you all for that! You really know how to make a girl feel special!

Every year my husband – Century 21 Realtor John Deak – and I, create a calendar filled with beautiful photos of the Vernon area where we live. I take the photos throughout the year, then carefully go through them right around now to create the calendar for next year.
Last year, we added a cool way that you can be part of it.
You can have your birthday printed right on the calendar!
For a donation of $5 or more per calendar date, you can add as many dates as you want: your birthday, your spouse’s birthday, birthdays of children or pets, your anniversary – whatever you want us to print!
I’m pretty sure that the 2016 calendar will feature Little Red Beetle Day on September 19 – to commemorate the day John got his Beetle back!
Because, why not have hundreds of people who also get the calendar celebrate with you?
All the funds go directly to Easter Seals to Send Kids to Camp. Last year we thought of this very last minute and in less than a week we raised close to $600 for the kids. For the 2016 calendar, we have nearly 3 weeks left to raise even more. We’re going for the moon and our magic number of $2,300!!
